Programs for Youth
Summer STEAM
STEAM is a six-week program during June and July that allows students to continue the habits of learning beyond the school year.
The first half of the day is filled with free breakfast and teacher-led classroom learning, focusing on reading, writing, and science. The second half of the day functions more like a summer camp, while students eat free lunch, are able to enjoy some time outside, and then head over to their camps and cabin time.
Little Falcons
Little Falcons Extracurricular Activities is a free afterschool program designed to introduce Faribault elementary students to a variety of extracurricular sports and activities. Students who are involved in extracurricular activities are more likely to feel connected to their school, community, family and friends and have more academic success. Little Falcon's sessions are usually 3-5 weeks long with a couple of practices a week.

Driver Education
State law requires that each student completes 30 hours of the classroom portion of Driver Education. Our classes last for three hours on a 10- day schedule. Classroom sessions are offered at various times throughout the school year. Check the bulletin board in the front entry of Faribault High School for classroom session offerings.
During the school year, classroom sessions are held after school from 3:20-6:20 pm. During summer vacation, classroom sessions are held in the morning from 8:00-11:00 am, or in the afternoon, from 12:30-3:30 pm. If school is canceled, so is your Driver Education Class.
Kids World
Kids World is a certified & accredited fee-based childcare program for children ages 3-12. Kids World operates before and after school, on most non-school days, and for 10 weeks during the summer. We operate Monday through Friday out of Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt. The goal of our program is to provide a relaxed, enriched, safe and fun environment where all children are encouraged to pursue their personal interests, develop friendships and grow. We strive for continuous program improvement and partnerships with both parents and the community.
Community School
Community School is where we can transform our school into a place where everyone works together to strengthen and support our students so they can thrive not only in our schools, but in our community. Through Community School, we believe that partnerships between teachers, administrators, families, students, other school staff, and the community is what can make a difference in the lives of our students and their families. These partnerships enable us to identify needs and then organize in- and out-of-school resources, supports, and opportunities so our youth can thrive. Programming includes before and after school enrichment opportunities, Summer STEAM, and our Welcome Center spaces at Jefferson Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary, Faribault Middle School, and Faribault High School.
