Youth Enrichment
Youth Enrichment
We offer affordable classes throughout the year based on student interests. The goal of Youth Enrichment is to provide opportunities for youth to pursue their interests, expand their abilities and improve their social skills in an informal, fun and safe environment. Fee -supported classes are offered for youth ages 2-18 on evenings, weekends and during the day throughout the summer. From babysitter training to martial arts, dance, arts and crafts, languages, gymnastics and sports, Youth Enrichment has something for everyone! For more information, call 507-333-6472.
Before and After School Programing
Before and After School Programing
Faribault Community School is a partnership between schools and community resources. We focus on academics, health & social services, youth and community development, and community engagement. Community Schools strive to improve student learning while building stronger families and healthier communities. Our curriculum emphasizes real-world learning and problem solving.
Summer STEAM
Summer STEAM
STEAM is a six-week program during June and July that allows students to continue the habits of learning beyond the school year.
The first half of the day is filled with free breakfast and teacher-led classroom learning, focusing on reading, writing, and science. The second half of the day functions more like a summer camp, while students eat free lunch, are able to enjoy some time outside, and then head over to their camps and cabin time.
Driver Education
Driver Education
State law requires that each student completes 30 hours of the classroom portion of Driver Education. Our classes last for three hours on a 10- day schedule. Classroom sessions are offered at various times throughout the school year. Check the bulletin board in the front entry of Faribault High School for classroom session offerings.
During the school year, classroom sessions are held after school from 3:20-6:20 pm. During summer vacation, classroom sessions are held in the morning from 8:00-11:00 am, or in the afternoon, from 12:30-3:30 pm. If school is canceled, so is your Driver Education Class.
Aquatics
Aquatics
Enjoy swimming activities for all ages, interests and abilities. Learn to swim with Red Cross swim lessons. Have fun with your friends and family at open swims, including open swims for women only. Get fit with lap swim and water exercise. Develop competitive swimming and diving skills, and earn certification to be a lifeguard or swim instructor. Safety is our first priority, and lifeguards are on duty for all Community Education aquatic activities. Fee assistance is available. For more information call 507-333-6472.
